"Giltfire leaves nothing behind but golden dust, of course."

DRAGONSONG is my latest project, a graphic novel I am teaming up with my wife Elizabeth to publish hopefully in 2018 from The Kraken Collective. Set in a realm known as Elondria. In it, there are Paladins, Knights, Mages, and Priests–all the things you think you know. There’s just one issue–these Paladins have to pass shieldwork class at Elondria's main university before you should even think about asking them to take up a blade for you.

DRAGONSONG features a romance between heroines Zabelle--a knife-throwing princess facing a loss which may not equal the things she's gained, and Calle, a sarcastic paladin with a coffee habit that's almost as bad as her grades. When Calle's not declining invitations to digital-DJ parties on the local bus, she’s trying to pass her classes while fending off catcalling Knights in neon. DRAGONSONG features a blend of futuristic technology, a unique twist on University settings, and pink dappled centaur baristas putting potions to cure what ails you into your morning latte.

There’s also dragons. Minor detail.

"Dragons had been a constant source of wisdom, terror, and judgement for the seven realms far longer than anyone could remember. The last dragon had been a tyrant, destroying much of the lands that they had sworn to protect. There were no more dragon-children, nor dragonsong in the realms. Not any that scholars had located, anyway. There were rumors every now and again. There was only one thing that she knew for certain–it was her destiny as a paladin to destroy rogue dragon-song and ensure the peace of the realms.

Or so she thought."
